A  bomba de turbina vertical  is widely recognized for its versatility, efficiency, and durability. It is extensively used across various industries, including industrial water supply and drainage, municipal drinking water systems, domestic fire protection, and the transportation of river, lake, and seawater. The wide applicability of the pump is largely due to its compact structure, stable operation, easy maintenance, small footprint, and high degree of standardization.

1. Submerged Length Range

The submerged depth of the vertical turbine pump, which refers to the portion of the pump installed below the base, typically ranges from 2 to 14 meters. This flexibility allows the pump to operate effectively in wells or reservoirs with varying depths.

2. Structural Features of the Vertical Turbine Pump Motor

The vertical motor is installed on top of the pump base, while the impeller is submerged in the fluid via a segmented long shaft. The motor and pump are connected using an elastic coupling, facilitating straightforward installation and disassembly. A motor frame is situated between the motor and pump, providing support and incorporating a window for easy inspection and maintenance.

3. Water Column and Guide Bearing Design

Water columns in the vertical turbine pump are joined by flanges, with guide bearing bodies positioned between adjacent columns. These guide bearings are typically made from PTFE, salon, or nitrile rubber. A protective tube encases the shaft and bearings. For clean water, the tube can be omitted, and no external cooling is required. However, for sewage applications, the protective tube and external cooling water are necessary. Pumps equipped with a self-closing sealing system prevent sewage from entering the bearing when the pump stops.

4. Optimized Hydraulic Design

Advanced hydraulic design software is used to optimize the impeller and guide vane configuration, significantly enhancing wear resistance and service life. These improvements ensure that the pump operates with high stability, efficiency, and reliability, making it energy-saving and suitable for long-term usage.

5. Modular Shaft and Column Construction

The vertical turbine pump features a modular design, with central shafts, water columns, and protective pipes composed of multiple sections. Shafts are connected via threaded or sleeve couplings. The number of water column sections can be adjusted to match the specific installation depth. Depending on the required head, the pump can be configured with single-stage or multi-stage impellers and guide vanes.

6. Impeller Design and Axial Force Balance

The impeller includes a balance hole to offset axial force. Both the front and rear cover plates of the impeller are equipped with replaceable sealing rings, which protect the impeller and guide vane body from wear, further enhancing pump longevity.

In conclusion, the vertical turbine pump is an ideal choice for deep well, high-capacity, and reliable fluid transport applications. Its modular design, efficient hydraulics, and durable materials make it suitable for both clean and harsh water conditions. Understanding the core features of the pump is essential for selecting the right pump to meet operational demands.
